:   Dress : Thanks to Christing C , Shoes: Kurt Geiger, Bag: Boozt Thanks Christing, for the perfect party dress! Adore the dram...

This is by far one of my favourite blogs on the internet. Her clothes aren't something that you would have to sell your house and probably your brother to buy, but high street clothes that she wears as her own. It probably does help that she has legs I'd be prepared to murder to have, and her face looks like it has came straight off an ad for The Kooples, but nonetheless, I use her outfits as an inspiration to me.

Enough of writing for tonight, I'm off to bed as I'm up at half 6 in the morning to go swimming. Yes, swimming- I need to get fit. So for now, over and out.

Summer Time

WE'VE EVENTUALLY BOOKED A HOLIDAY.

I'm extremely excited, I don't mind England, but it gets extremely boring. One person can only stand so much rain and Coronation Street. The only issue is, I'm so pale that I can't lie in the Sun for more than 10 minutes and this is the first holiday I'll have been on where we're not constantly up and about so I'm going to come back frazzled (I'm ginger, explains the vampire tendencies). I always get excited shopping for holidays, so I've put this little collage together on Polyvore for inspiration with what to buy and pack. It's based on Caggie Dunlop, as I simply love how easily she can sling an outfit together and make it look so perfect. Some are far too expensive, but quite a few of these are from All Saints, Mango and Zara- fingers crossed with my shopping trip then!

Welcome to my Wonderful World

As part of the 'up and coming generation', I'm supposed to be able to use technology like it was written into my DNA... Unfortunately, it's just taken me the best part of half an hour to set up a Google account, therefore I will apologise in advance for any technological mistakes.

Well, this is my first blog post. I never know what to say when meeting new people, and although I'm not a completely awkward person, I wouldn't say I'm brilliant in the majority of social situations. I like writing when I have ideas on what the subject of my writing should be, but I often find that my mind wanders off. So again, I apologise in advance for any 'waffling' as us Brits say. I don't like analysing poetry or anything when I say I like writing by the way- I prefer to write stories, or to simply write down my views on things.

So this is where it first starts I suppose; the first time you will read about me. The likelihood is, nobody at all is reading this but what the heck, I've been meaning to write a journal so this can count. Anyway, every good book needs a beginning, so here we go.

This isn't my record player, but none the less, it's beautiful.

My name is Olivia, and I am 14 years old at this present moment, with my birthday being on the 2nd of February. Immediately, I have a few vital points to bring up. I detest my name and how boring it is. Everybody's called Olivia. One day I will change my name to something like Florence or Harriet... Ideas are welcome. Secondly, please do not immediately judge me on my age- although I can't blame you, I probably would too. I'm probably not your average teenager sat at the back of a random bus, playing horrific rap or pop 'music' whilst trying to see just how many people I could aggravate on one vehicle. I'm more the kind of teenager in the local café, drinking tea and reading my book. Although I'm also usually shopping or rummaging in old record stores. I like a lot of music and artists so this may be a rather long list, but I'll try to write down as many as possible:

The Vaccines, The Beatles, The Smiths, Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, Bloc Party, Pulp, Nirvana, The Jam, David Bowie, The Libertines, High Places, Mumford & Sons, Joy Division, Kasabian, The Kooks, The Killers, The Kills, Kings of Leon, The Klaxons, Lana Del Rey, Little Boots, Little Comets, Mumm-ra, Passion Pit, Point of Disgust, Regina Spektor, Keane, Spector, Stars, The Stone Roses, The Sex Pistols, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Broken Family Band, The Airborne Toxic Event, The Black Rabbits, The Fratellis, The Hoosiers, The Human League, The Maccabees, The Ramones, Bruce Springsteen, The Strokes, The XX, The Temper Trap,The Wombats, U2, Vampire Weekend, Wolfmother, Marina and The Diamonds, Florence & The Machine, Madness, Amy Winehouse, Arcade Fire, Pink Floyd, Black Lips, Reverend and The Makers, Bon Iver, Bombay Bicycle Club, Lady Gaga, Broken Bells, Cat Stevens, Cloud Control, Neutral Milk Hotel, Noah & The Whale, Coldplay, Paloma Faith, Crystal Castles, Hall & Oates, Deerhunter, Dog is Dead, The Draytones, Foster the People, Born Ruffians, Grizzly Bear, The Felice Brothers, The Drums and I'm a sucker for any 80's music

Alex Turner, the most perfect man on the planet.
Okay, so maybe I needn't have named all of those, but I think music can play a massive part in our perceptions of people and our relationships. I think the way we dress can too, but I'm not necessarily saying our looks do. Back on the topic of myself. I'm a massive geek and read far too many books, but I think reading is a beautiful thing. I have a somewhat unhealthy obsession with Harry Potter and Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. The shops I probably shop is most are Urban Outfitters, Topshop, Zara, Mango, vintage shops, charity shops and H&M. I will dress the way I want to dress, not alike the population of teenagers in knicker shorts, Nike Airs and hoodies. I love London, and dream of going to New York. I love films like (500) Days of Summer, but then I also love Pulp Fiction... So my taste varies. My favourite TV show is Skins, although I hope I'm not misleading you into thinking that my life is anything like as exciting as theirs- I wish. However, I will also watch anything that's on Comedy Central, the Crime & Investigation channel and E4. Charlie Sheen, Olivia Palermo, Alexa Chung and Lindsey Lohan are my heroes (mixed ey?). I'm currently learning Latin, and it's a fucking stupid language.
Charlie Sheen, what a guy.
Olivia Palermo.

Okay, so that's all you could possibly need to know about me. This post is pretty shit, and if I was anybody else, I would have stopped reading after the first sentence but hey-ho. I promise my next post will be better, maybe. Until next time.

P.S. If you know me personally and you're reading this... please fuck off.
